1. Identity and principal place of business of the person responsible. 

Hotel Mercury Inn S.A. de C.V. with address at Lateral Autopista México-Querétaro number 2105, Col. Estrella, Querétaro, C.P. 76030, Querétaro, is responsible for the collection and processing of your personal data obtained due to the lodging relationship you have with us and may be assisted by one or more persons in charge to provide a better treatment of your personal data.

2. Personal data

For the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice, Mercury Inn will obtain from you the following personal data: name and surname, fiscal address, telephone numbers, e-mail, federal taxpayer registry (RFC), corporate name, nationality, license plate number of your car; credit or debit card data and payment method, billing data.

We inform you that Mercury Inn does not obtain personal data that are considered by the LFPDPPP as sensitive personal data. We may obtain data from your credit card for the purpose of reservations and collection in case you do not make the reservation effective.

Mercury Inn obtains or may obtain personal data from you through the following means:

- Personally, when you provide them to one of our employees, by filling out forms to accept our lodging contract and check-in with us, or at our front desk.

- Directly, when you provide them to us via telephone or through electronic means on our Website https://www.mercuryinn.com.mx/es/index.html, for the following purposes: identify yourself, create your personalized user account or log in to it on our website, fill out the reservation form, pre-register for check-in prior to your arrival at the Hotel, or check-out of your reservation, if applicable, and stay, interact in our social networks or through cookies or web beacons, or via email. Also when you make use of the Mercury Inn hotels' wifi networks, when you answer satisfaction and service opinion questionnaires by electronic means, or when you subscribe to offers and contests through our electronic means. 

- Indirectly, when you provide your personal data to one of our suppliers, such as travel agencies or third parties that provide us with databases, which support us during the reservation and marketing processes. 

A cookie is a data file that is stored on the hard drive of your computer or electronic communications device that you use when browsing our Websites, which allows status information to be exchanged between our Websites and your browser. The status information may reveal means of session identification, authentication or user preferences, as well as any data stored by the browser with respect to the website. The collection and processing of personal data is carried out with the necessary purposes:

a) To have a record of the guests to identify them as customers or users and provide them with the best possible service and attention, being able to make the record of the time of use of online session.

b) To accredit the identity of the guest and verify the veracity of the information provided, being able to cancel your user account in case of finding anomalies or falsehood in the data provided. 

c) Contact guests when necessary through different means of communication, such as telephone, chat, email, among others, to complete transactions, process reservations or pre-registrations before their arrival at the hotel, provide personalized services, grant promotions, benefits, or discounts, update our systems or databases, or in cases of emergency. 

d) Obtain billing information if required.

e) Make a reservation in person directly at our hotel or online at our website https://www.mercuryinn.com.mx/es/index.html, according to your specifications and needs. 

f) Obtain your credit card information, which will only be used as a guarantee of the reservation, issuing a charge only in case of not making the reservation effective.

g) To consult you about the quality of our service and to understand the specific needs of each guest, in order to provide a better service. 

h) Comply with Mercury Inn's internal policies and processes, as well as with the mandatory and contractual legal provisions entered into with you by virtue of the existing business relationship.

i) Provide attention to your requests for complaints or claims and/or comply with the requirements of the competent authorities.

j) To protect the interests and rights of Mercury Inn, in accordance with legal provisions.

Additionally, we have the following purposes:

a) The creation of a personal profile in our website https://www.mercuryinn.com.mx/es/index.html that allows you to obtain notifications in case of special offers, promotions, information of an advertising nature, among other additional services.

b) To send you personalized advertising and for marketing, statistical and commercial prospecting purposes.

If in the future you wish to withdraw your authorization for the use of your personal and sensitive data in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Notice, please send an e-mail to the following address: mercuryinn@mercuryinn.com.mx accompanied by an official identification, where you express your will, or by sending a letter duly signed by you, accompanied by a copy of your current official identification with photograph, by mail to the Mercury Inn address indicated in this privacy notice.

5. Transfers of personal data 

Mercury Inn may transfer your personal data to third parties for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice. The foregoing includes:

a. Your personal data mentioned above may be communicated to the competent authorities, in accordance with the applicable legislation. These transfers may be national or international in nature.

b. Mercury Inn may transfer all or part of the aforementioned personal data to providers of support services of the website https://www.mercuryinn.com.mx/es/index.html, such as GoogleAnalytics, in order to provide data such as your IP address, statistics service and analysis of information on the use of our website. These transfers may be national or international.

c. You can also send your personal data to marketing and advertising service providers for the hosting of information for sending emails and generating advertising.

6. ARCO rights

In accordance with the LFPDPPP, you have the rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition to Processing, also known as "ARCO Rights", which are briefly explained below:

- Access: Right to access the personal data that we keep about you, as well as to obtain information regarding the conditions under which your data are processed.

- Rectification: Right to rectify your personal data in case they are inaccurate or incomplete;

- Cancellation: Right to request that we cancel the personal data we have about you, when you consider that they are not being treated in accordance with the principles and duties established by the LFPDPPP and its Regulations.

- Opposition to the treatment: Right to oppose to the treatment of your personal data, when there is legitimate cause or so that your data are not treated for specific purposes.

The LFPDPPP also grants you the right to revoke the consent previously granted for the processing of your personal data, at any time.

For purposes of exercising your ARCO rights, to request or revoke your previously granted consent for the processing and in general, to raise any questions or complaints regarding the processing of your personal data or to find out if there are other options available (in addition to those set forth herein) for you to limit the use or disclosure of your data, please contact us.

Your requests for cancellation, revocation and opposition to the treatment will be evaluated in the terms established in the LFPDPPP and its origin or inappropriateness will be resolved taking into consideration the precepts of the LFPDPPP and other obligations that are applicable to Mercury Inn (fiscal, commercial, consumer protection, public safety, health, etc.). In general, please consider that your requests may not be applicable in those cases in which the processing is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation imposed or acquired by Mercury Inn.

In all such cases, a simple request should be sent as mentioned above. We will tell you (i) the information you will be asked to provide to identify yourself and the documents you will need to submit with your request; (ii) the time frames within which you will receive a response to your request; (iii) how you should submit your request, including the forms you may use to submit your request, if any, and; (iv) the form or medium in which we will deliver the information to you. 

7. Security of your personal data 

Mercury Inn has adopted and maintains the necessary physical, organizational, administrative and technical information security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration or unlawful disclosure of information and to protect the personal data you provide to us against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use, access or processing. The third parties to whom we send your personal data will be subject to privacy policies similar to those set forth herein.

Mercury Inn uses in its website https://www.mercuryinn.com.mx/es/index.html the SSL security lock to protect the information you have provided us, in this sense, your acceptance of our privacy notice shall be deemed as your express authorization for the transfer of such information.

You may appeal to the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data ("INAI"), if you consider that your right to the protection of personal data has been violated.

Mercury Inn informs you that if you do not accept our privacy notice, you will not be able to continue with the registration or reservation process in any of our channels.

8. Modifications to the privacy notice

Mercury Inn reserves the right to make changes or updates to this privacy notice at any time, in order to reflect the entry into force of new regulations or internal policies. These modifications will be available through the following means: visible announcements in our establishments, Internet page, or by e-mail. In case you do not agree with such modifications, you should send an email to the above mentioned email, requesting the cancellation of your personal data, in accordance with the LFPDPPP.
